Yesterday I had my 20 week scan (it’s half-cooked!) and I swear I have just suddenly got a little bump. Thought it would never happen! All was fine at the scan, although Tim said he got bored which annoyed me. He also didn’t know the exact due date. Plus the below is his extremely poor photography. Not to generalize, but men are rubbish!
As the placenta is in an anterior position, it’s harder to feel the baby kicks, so that’s probably why I don’t feel it move all that much. Also it’s still fairly early.
In terms of the future, I’ve decided to take this future kid to uni in Bristol! Of course plans might change, but I’d love to do a year’s access course starting in September and then head off to Bristol the following year to study Psychology. If anyone has done an access course with a baby, would be great to hear from you as I’m pretty sure I’ll have to wait until the babs is a year-old for it to be possible.
And crying…? I’ve been feeling a lot better at the moment – the constant tears seem to have stopped, or at least abated for a while! As soon as I turned 20 weeks, everything seems to be fine and dandy in my head. I’m not worrying about anything. Also have just bought ‘Mindful Hypnobirthing’ by Sophie Fletcher so will give that a read while I’m still half-heartedly searching for a job (is there any point in working really?!).
Looking forward to chilling with a genuine bump soon and all the perks it comes with (seats on buses, place to prop a cuppa etc.)…
